MetroPCS Slowly Approaching Major Carrier Status

MetroPCS announced its first quarter 2010 results. The regional, pre-paid carrier has more than 7 million subscribers. By comparison, Sprint's Nextel arm of post-paid iDen subscribers has around 6.8 million. MetroPCS has already announced plans to roll out a 4G LTE network in select markets later this year.
