O2 To Offer First Samsung Android Phone In The U.K.

O2 has confirmed that it will be offering UK customers the Samsung i7500, Samsung's first Android phone.

O2 seems determined to dominate the UK smartphone market. It has the iPhone, it’s strongly believed to have gained the franchise for the Palm Pre, and now it’s confirmed that it will be carry Samsung’s first Android phone, the i7500.

The handset appeared in the company’s in-house magazine, and O2 confirmed to ZDNet that it will carry the phone.

However, there’s no word yet on whether O2 will have an exclusive on the handset, or how much customers will have to pay. All that’s for certain is that it will be on the market in the next two months.
